"As an emergency medicine physician and simulation medicine
director, I feel that the procedural training offered by Simulab’s TraumaMan is
the closest I’ve encountered to the real thing. The unit is easy to set up and
has good portability. Overall, I feel that the TraumaMan enhances the simulation
environment, adds realism, and is an excellent tool for procedural medical
training."

"This is, given current technology, one of the best models for
teaching the surgical skills lab."

"Hands down, the only one that competes with animals for ATLS procedures and is
competitive on cost is the Simulab torso trainer."

"In November, I was part of a team of 14 attending physicians and
residents who traveled to India. When in Mumbai we collaborated with Hinduja
Hospital and Lifesupporters Institute of Health Sciences then organized an
Emergency Medicine Conference for 150 young physicians interested in our
specialty.
We brought the TraumaMan System for use in this training and the system was
great - it really facilitated our travels to Mumbai. The suitcase is regulation
size, with rollers, making our lives easy as we were traveling with a group with
a lot of equipment.
When we arrived in India, we were on a tight schedule. So the ease of set up was
nice. The "pack and play" set up allowed us to arrive and effectively start the
course. One of the neatest aspects of the course in Mumbai was the opportunity
it provided. There is almost no surgical training for anyone other than the
highest specialists in the surgical field - only a very elite group can get this
training. Most of the course attendees had never had access to this training -
they had never seen or touched the TraumaMan System and were extremely excited
to have the opportunity to practice emergency procedures.
Having access to TraumaMan will allow us to generate a new cadre of emergency
medicine practitioners who, before this, had no access to this kind of training.
In the end, TraumaMan allowed us to teach surgical procedures to a large group
of students who otherwise would have no access to this type of training. We were
able to take an in-house training system, easily travel with it around the
globe, and use it in a facility in Mumbai with no hiccups. What a great
opportunity."
